Great Northern International Film Festival

I was given carte blanche on this logo design. Here, I wanted to represent the film industry, while bringing in aspects of Northern B.C. with the mountains hinted at on the film reel. The name of the event is quite wordy, so my challenge here was making the text stand out, but also not to overwhelm the overall design while keeping a modern/simple look.
